ILL MONOS

ill monosis a collaborative creation between Pakhamon Hemachandra and Arnau Pérez. The work explores the symbiosis and the types of symbiotic relationships between the three inhabitants within an enclosed space gesturing to chaos and instability, where there is also interest in simplicity lying within a universe of seriousness as well as questioning the sense of belonging in their habitats.

THE ROOM

Sun Dance Theatre invited Pakhamon Much Hemachandra to choreograph a duet dance piece called The Room, a part choreographed and part improvised dance work. Within the dance making process we incorporated improvisation as one of the tools for the work: exploring, interacting and creating movements with various stimuli that comes from inside and outside of our bodies.

The Room, a contemporary dance performance exploring on the idea of relationship. Everyone has a relationship with their environment; this does not mean only the relationships with other human beings but with the things around us including different objects, surroundings, movements, decisions, conversations, ideas, our own minds, the body, and where we are at certain points in time.

*Performance date: 22-26 January 2015 at Sun Dance Theatre (Bangkok, Thailand)
